HUGO, Okla. -- After more than a week in temporary classrooms due to mold found at the Hugo elementary school, some students may be out of their main facility longer than expected.

School administrators are set to hold an emergency meeting Wednesday night to talk about a mold problem at the elementary school.

Last week, administrators announced the elementary was closing for the rest of the semester. Classes were moved to local churches and students were expected to return to the school in January.

Superintendent Tony Daugherty says lab results found higher counts of several different types of mold than anticipated including a small amount of black mold.

That emergency meeting is scheduled for six o’clock Wednesday night.
