14 arrested in Ardmore drug raid

ARDMORE, Okla. -- An Ardmore drug house was shut down Wednesday night. Police say 14 people have been arrested, and that if it were not for the watchful eyes of neighbors, it would have taken them longer to shut the house down.

Police tell us neighbors had been complaining about the large number of people going in and out of the house at different times of the day and night.

Police say for the past month they have been investigating a residence on 8th street Northwest. Investigators obtained a search warrant for the house.

Inside they found 23 grams of suspected crack cocaine, marijuana, and $3,600 in cash. Around 11 o’clock Thursday night, they arrested 14 people from the two-bedroom, 1,000-square foot house on drug charges.

Authorities say the owners of the house, Ronnie Disheroon, 60, and Linda Fowler, 57, were also arrested, along with 39-year-old Tracy French, for drug trafficking.

Police say people were actually coming up to the house attempting to buy drugs during the raid.

"While we were there, we had people walking up to purchase drugs, so we feel like we did a good job on this and hope the neighborhood feels a little bit safer, a little bit better," Lt. Eric Hamblin of the Ardmore Police Department said.

Police found 23 grams of suspected crack cocaine marijuana and $3,600 in cash. All 14 people were booked into the Carter County Jail on various drug charges.
