ATF Investigation - Judge Denies Release

Video will be available shortly.

2-15-05 - A judge denied the requested release of a Gainesville pawn shop owner today. 44-year old Timothy Ware King is accused of selling firearms to convicted felons.

Federal investigators say he ran a "straw-man" operation. In all, ATF agents traced 17 guns used in crimes back to his pawn shop. Agents say they have video evidence of two recent sales - made in undercover stings.

They also confiscated a silencer and an illegal shotgun from his shop and home last week.

The judge did not feel King was a flight risk but he did detain him because King had unregistered weapons, which is a crime of violence.
