Mother, Children Hurt in Crash

2-19-05- A mother, her two children, and a teenager were injured Saturday afternoon in front of Tom Bean High School when a pick up truck crashed into a car full of children.

Tom Bean police received the call just before 2:00 p.m Saturday of a major accident on Highway 11 in from of the high school

Witnesses tell police the driver of a black Ford Taurus made an illegal u-turn and slammed into an older model, red, Ford pick-up truck.

The driver and two children in the Taurus were transported by ambulance to Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman with minor injuries. Two other children in that vehicle were not injured.

The teenage passenger in the truck was also taken to the hospital. Tom Bean police say all of the victims are in stable condition.

No tickets have been issued. Police are still investigating.
