American Fresh Foods of Fort Worth, Texas, is warning consumers to avoid possible roadside sales of ground beef.

Stolen meat:
- American Fresh Foods
- 1 to 2 lb packages
- list company name below nutrition info
- all labels printed with "est. 13116" inside USDA inspection mark

The company says someone stole a refrigerated truck containing nearly 15,000 pounds of meat possibly contaminated with e-coli bacteria.

The company's products are safe to buy in grocery stores, but officials are urging people not to buy the beef under "questionable circumstances."

The beef in question comes in one to two pound packages that list the company name under the nutrition info.

All labels are printed with "EST. 13116" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
-- Labels for the 1- to 2-pound packages also list the company name below the nutrition information.
-- Labels for the bulk packages, weighing between 40 and 370 pounds, also list a date of "12-19-07" with the production information filled in by hand.

The American Fresh Foods consumer hotline number is 1-800-724-1136.

As the cow's say in the Chikfila adds "eat more chicken"! (Like chickens never poop in the coop like cows). Go Vegetarian! It's really ashame that several innocent animals had to sacrifice their life and be ground up and stuck in plastic containers and then be contaminated by e-coli so they can be thrown away or so called stolen. Seems like such a waste. And yes we are all so wasteful even if it pertains to life.

So what you are telling me is that all of the other meat this particular company sells is just fine for consumption, but the 15,000 pounds that was stolen is somehow contaminated??? That makes absolutely no sense. Are you just saying this because you think this will be a way for you to get your "meat" back? I just don't see any situation in which 1 trailer would be contaminated but not any other meat from the same company? Is this a little fib to protect your bottom line??? I don't get it at all...
