Wrong Way; Police Chase Suspects on 75

Video will be available shortly.

12-13-04 – Authorities in Collin and Grayson Counties scrambled to shut down part of highway 75 in a dramatic chase early Monday morning. According to Allen police, officers saw two men trying to break into the outlet mall in Allen, Texas around 3:00 a.m.

The suspects drove away from the scene in a stolen van, leading police on a chase north in the south bound lanes of highway 75.

Mc Kinney police and authorities in Grayson County joined the pursuit.
It ended near the Howe, Sherman city limits. Mc Kinney police used spike strips to blow out the van’s tires. The vehicle crashed into a ditch near the access road shortly after.

The driver tried to run on foot, but he was bitten by a police dog and taken to the hospital.

The passenger was also taken into custody. Both suspects could face multiple charges related to the burglary and reckless driving.
