2-23-05 - A Sherman police office is at the center of an internal investigation. The officer, who has not been named, was placed on paid administrative leave on February 10th.
The police chief would not comment on the details of the investigation, other than to say it began two weeks ago.
This is the first suspension in the department in two years. Suspensions prior to that normally were connected to officer-involved shootings, which are considered routine policy.
In this case there are no apparent connections to any shootings.
