Family Survives After Building Crumbles

12-28-04 – With people inside, a 115-year-old building in Ladonia crumbled to the ground early this morning. The three people inside made it out of the building alive, but lost all of their possessions.

The family of three lived and did business in the building for nine years, making jewelry and pottery.

The building began to crumble at 4:30 AM. Olivia Weathers was up out of bed when the walls started to fall in around her.

Other parts of the building are occupied by other businesses. Construction crews are trying to keep the rest of it from falling down as well.
