12-29-04 – Over 100 homeowners in Colbert are frustrated with their water service. They say day-by-day, they never know if their water will be on or off. City officials say the problem is due to a pine tree that’s roots grew into and broke a water pipe.

For 3 months, anyone who lives east of the break on highway 91 has experienced little water pressure or no water at all. The city has tried several times to correct the problem, but has not been successful.

Right now the water is temporarily on, and officials hope to have the problem permanently fixed tomorrow.
