12-30-04 – A dog literally took a bite out of crime Tuesday night in Ardmore; attacking two would-be burglars.

Jennifer Garrison and her dog rascal were sitting in her living room when they heard someone try to come through the window. Garrison says when she let the dog out he took off, chasing two burglars down the street.

He was able to knock down one suspect just 100 feet away; restricting him for a few moments by biting on his neck and back.

The burglar was able to get away, but Garrison says she’s thankful her dog was around.

Garrison’s home was broken into the night before and police believe the same suspects may be behind the crime.

The suspects are described as white males, age 18 to 20; one is 6 feet tall, weighing around 260 pounds. The other is 5 feet 6 inches tall; weighing 140 pounds.

Both men were wearing black t-shirts. If you have any information you’re asked to call the Ardmore Police Department.
