Escapees Still on the Run

1-1-05- Authorities in southern Oklahoma are searching for two inmates who escaped from the Gene Autry Correctional Facility in Ardmore Saturday morning.

Ardmore police say 25 year old Shelton Ray Blevins and 23 year old Michael Jay Tom were discovered missing after a head count around 5:15 a.m at the facility in the Gene Autry Air Park.

Blevins was in jail on burglary charges and Tom for drug possession and auto burglary. Both men were last seen wearing blue jeans and blue shirts.

Authorities are not sure how the men escaped or where they might be traveling. Police do not believe they are armed.
