3-1-05 - A man who escaped from an arraignment at the Fannin County courthouse didn’t stay free for long. Authorities captured Teddy Demtrius Ellis Tuesday night, just a few hours after he managed to slip out of the courthouse.
Ellis was being arraigned on a robbery charge, but while he was in the restroom, he managed to cut his leg restraints, which allowed him to escape. Minutes later, authorities found his jumpsuit about a block away.
Law enforcement finally caught up to Ellis at a Bonham home, after a family called 911.
