Police Investigate Rash of Home Invasions

Video will be available shortly.

3-3-05 – Police in Ardmore are looking for a suspect who may be connected to at least six break-ins in the past few weeks.

The latest happened in the 100 block of F Street Northeast. Police say a man knocked on the homeowner’s door and asked to borrow something. This time, the victim screamed and called police. The suspect ran away.

Authorities are concerned the man may get more violent as he continues to contact victims in Northeast Ardmore.

Earlier this week, in the 700 block of 4th Street Northeast, a man knocked on the door of that home and asked the homeowner to borrow something. The resident and suspect got into a scuffle and the 49 year old homeowner was stabbed in the stomach. The man’s injuries were minor.

The suspect is described as a slender, black male usually wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt. He is approximately 5’ 7” to 6 feet tall.

If you have any information, call police.
