03-04-05 – Closing arguments in the Andre Thomas trial from both sides took an hour and a half, meaning jury deliberations will have to wait until Monday. Tears were in the eyes of several people in the courtroom as the arguments were made.

Grayson County Attorney Joe Brown told the jury that the defense must prove Thomas was insane when he committed the murders. Defense Attorney R.J. Haygood responded to that point by breaking a piece of wood over his knee, saying a human mind can snap just like the wood.

Deliberations will begin Monday at 9 a.m.
