1-13-05 – A 5-year-old Bonham boy is in critical condition after being hit by a car on his way to school. He and his three older brothers and sisters were attempting to cross the street to board a school bus.
The accident occurred at 6:30 Thursday morning in the 300 block of East Sam Rayburn. The kindergartener at Finley Oates Elementary was flown to Children’s Hospital in Dallas with head injuries and remains in critical condition.
The children were crossing in the middle of the street rather than using the crosswalk or the intersection.
The driver of the car was not ticketed.
