03-10-05 – A Calera convenience store clerk has been accused with identity theft. Authorities say she confessed yesterday to copying the credit card number of a customer in February while working at the E-Z Mart.
She used the credit card to pay off bills, install Direct TV, and send flowers. Overall she charged more the $6,000 to the account.
The woman has a long crime record in Texas for similar crimes according to authorities. Three counts of identity theft are pending for this case.
