1-17-05 - A Fannin County family waiting on word from their marine son stationed in Iraq saw a familiar face on KXII Sunday night. The Barker family of Leonard was watching a 60 Minutes story about soldiers in Ramadi, Iraq when they caught a glimpse of their son, Marine Corporal Jacob Barker.

Corporal Barker is serving his second tour of duty in Iraq. Before last night his parents had not seen him for nine months.

At the beginning of the war, all three of the Barker children were in Iraq. Their oldest son Jared is home now but daughter Carmen won't be home until the end of the year.
