1-27-05 – Power along five streets in Durant was lost for two hours, after a cable at an OG&E substation went down. Nearly 300 customers were effected by the outage that cost businesses several dollars in profits.

Grand Central Station had to turn away about 20 customers trying to gas up their cars and First United Bank had to shut their doors between 11 A.M and 1 P.M, when the outage occurred.

OG&E says the electricity should be restored to everyone and that this was their first outage in the last six months on this particular circuit.
