02-23-05 – A popular new alternative to fossil fuels is becoming almost impossible to find in Texoma. Bio-Diesel is an American made, clean burning fuel, made from vegetable oil. Handymen Roy Hawkins and Dan Blankenship like the idea, and are willing to drive seventy miles for it.
"The emissions will be way lower,” said Hawkins” We just hope they hurry up and put it on the market."
Bio-Diesel is on the market in some areas and its availability will increase as it becomes more popular. Its higher price is a drawback, costing almost a quarter more per gallon than regular diesel.
Bio-Diesel is available at some distributors in Dallas and one in Denton.
Willie Nelson endorses the fuel, and runs his tour bus off it.
