ARDMORE, Okla. – State tourism officials met Wednesday morning at Lake Murray Lodge. There were several things on the agenda, including the future operations of Chickasaw Pointe Golf Course in Marshall County.
Officials say the deed transfer between the state land commission and Pointe Vista developers is close being finished. The deal could be completed by late Friday.
"If that indeed does happen on Friday, we'll transfer the deed to Pointe Vista group. The tourism department will cease to operate the golf course there," Oklahoma Tourism spokesperson Mike Fina said.
Tourism officials say some of the 14 employees at Chickasaw Pointe will work for Pointe Vista when the deal is done. The others will work at Lake Texoma Golf Course.
