Search Continues for Escapee

3-23-05 – The search continues Wednesday for an escapee who jumped from the roof of the Bryan County Jail late Monday night. Joey Don Rucinski is described as a dangerous man. He was being held on drug charges and is accused of a robbery in Grayson County.

Authorities say a jailer left Rucinski unattended just before midnight on Monday. The inmate went through two unlocked doors to get to the roof.

The Jail Trust Authority fired interim jail administrator Bryan Ridgeway earlier on Monday, after a rocky 3-month relationship.

Rucinski, 29, has been held in the Bryan County Jail since January 3rd.
He has brown hair, hazel eyes and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and orange pants.
