3-22-05 – A local spa owner is turning heartbreak into hope by making cancer patients feel beautiful.
Lana Davis, the owner of Lana’s Day Spa, regularly gives free eyelash and eyebrow tattoos to women who have lost their hair after undergoing chemotherapy.
"There's a lot of people out there who are hurting and suffering and don't have the money to do it. And if they don't, just come and talk to me. It's not all about making money anymore. It's about friendship and love and helping people," says Lana.
After watching a friend go through painful treatment for breast cancer, Lana decided to do something nice for cancer patients and over time, her generosity has grown.
Lana now opens her services and help women with other diseases.
Martha Clark suffers with neurofibroma, a tumor affecting the nervous system. She says the makeover has changed her outlook and given her new hope.
“It was like prayers had been answered you know. You think there is no help for you and then all at once there is, right before your eyes," said Martha.
