140 pounds of marijuana seized in Sherman

SHERMAN, TX -- More than 100 pounds of marijuana were seized Tuesday night in Grayson County's second drug bust in two days.

30-year-old Robert Stanley and his wife, 23-year-old Paige Stanley, were arrested for having over 50 pounds of pot in a drug free zone.

Sherman and Denison Narcotics Officers seized more than 140 pounds of marijuana and over $70,000 in cash from a home in the 1500 block of North Grand.

The marijuana is estimated to be worth more than $80,000.

"This was its final stopping point, in other words, it was being distributed more than likely in this area," said Bruce Dawsey with the Sherman Police Department.

Police are still investigating.
