3-29-05 - OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) An Ardmore business owner is ordered to pay almost 28-thousand dollars in restitution after pleading guilty to three felony fraud charges.
Norman Franklin Griffin was charged last year in Carter County District Court with violating the Oklahoma Consumer Protection Act.
Prosecutors allege Griffin -- who owned Five Star Auto Shippers -- received nearly 28-thousand dollars from seven separate victims after agreeing to transport automobiles. But the state says he never provided the service.
Griffin also was sentenced Monday to a three-year suspended sentence on each felony count.
