I personally know Mr Holt and the inmate. I would be willing to bet he did something to deserve what he got. Kevin might have went about it the wrong way but if I had been there in his shoes I probably would have put another cartridge in and tazed him again!!!

call the Bryan County Sheriff dept and find out who his supervisor was. You'll find it was one of the candidates running for sheriff. While you're at it, ask the current sheriff and his supervisor how long they knew about Holt's behavior and did nothing.

Hey, he probably needed a shock to bring him back to his senses, some folks just go off for no reason sometimes. Probably misses his Mommy, or he's about to become Bubba's B***h

If my tax dollars are required to pay off a lawsuit, I vote to eliminate the sheriff's office not just the sheriff! Because people are people, there are going to be excessive incidents. The taxpayers should not foot the bill!

You didn't get the point---the officer was not supervised, if he had been it would not have happened, their has been a lot of money maid from cell-phone sold by the currant adminstration in the jail. Many jail rapes and sexual crimes have been ongoing for as many years as our sheriff has ran the show...

john q: you must be a cop. leo niether serve nor protect.(internal ivestigations are the only time they serve AND protect:themselves) they enforce statutes and earn revenue, period. do you have a personal deputy bodyguard detail? who calls the cops when their property is stolen other than to get a police report to make an insurance claim? i lived next door to a cop in sherman. his personal gun was stolen and they dusted the entire house inside and out. it looked like a murder scene with all the cop cars. my gun was stolen a year later. the police told me i would never see it again, end of story. get over yourself. silly rabbit, tricks are for KIDS. it seems your last remark actually pertains to your own way of thinking.

well I live in the country and if I were to get broken into the sheriffs would be the only cops to respond. I agree with john q I appreciate them and think it would be a stupid idea to eliminate them.

Okay, let's try this. Taxpayers pay lawsuits won against LEOs. Without an official office, supported by tax dollars, there would be no deep pockets. Now without the sheriff's office to arrest and abuse these fine folks, you would have to do it yourself! Bet you would be willing to abuse them. Go get you a bunch of being spit on and cursed. There are plenty of lawyers just waiting for you to abuse somebody.
