4-22-05 – Nature lovers are flocking to the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge as the first ever Red River Birding and Nature festival kicks off.
Nature experts began providing tours Thursday and organizers encourage more people to enjoy the field trips on the many acres of unspoiled marshlands; a hot spot for migrating birds.
Registration for the event is based at the Tanglewood Resort in Denison.
In addition to the field trips and bird watching, lake cruises and wood carving classes are also planned the entire weekend.
