Ardmore Police catch counterfeiter

ARDMORE, OK - A man Ardmore police said went on a week long counterfeit money spending spree is now in custody. 34-year-old Jason Larussa is charged with four counts of delivery of counterfeit bills.

Investigators said they have evidence Larussa was knowingly using the fake money at different convenience stores and fast food restaurants around Ardmore.

They said they're still looking into whether or not he was actually involved in the manufacturing of the money.

Police say more arrests could be made in the case.

"At this time, we are not sure how many bills may or may not be in circulation," Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt said. "That is something we are going to have to wait and see if we get any more reports."

Larussa's bond is set for $50,000.
