Van Alstyne City Manager resigns

VAN ALSTYNE, TEXAS -- After six months serving Van Alstyne the City Manager has put in his resignation.

The "Rockwall Herald Banner" reports that 34-year-old "Philip Rodriguez" will start his new duties as city manager in Fate, Texas on May 29th. The paper says his selection became official late Friday afternoon.

Rodriguez started in Van Alstyne at the end of this past November and was selected out of 70 candidates. Before working in Van Alstyne he served as Assistant City Manager in Cedar Park, Texas.
