Prosecutors Seek Death in Stabbing

4-30-05- Pontotoc County prosecutors have filed paperwork to seek the death penalty for an Ada man who allegedly stabbed a friend to death in January

Twenty-seven-year-old Martin John Molles has been charged with
first-degree murder in the death of Curtis Standon.

The 47-year-old Standon was stabbed January third at Molles'
home and died at Valley View Regional Hospital.

According to a bill of particulars filed Thursday, prosecutors
claimed Molles already has a violent felony conviction, that the
murder was especially heinous, atrocious, and cruel, and that
Molles would be a continuing threat to society.

During a preliminary hearing April first, Standon's daughter testified she saw Molles stab her father.
