5-8-05- A semi truck driver took a plunge early Sunday morning when he drove his rig off of Highway 75 near the Highway 69 bridge just north of Denison. Troopers say the driver might have fallen asleep at the wheel.
When troopers arrived on the scene, the semi truck was in several pieces. The driver was injured and transported to Texoma Medical Center, but he expected to recover.
The accident happened shortly after 6 a.m. The driver narrowly missed the Highway 69 bridge and spilled a small amount of fuel on the highway. The driver's dog was also riding in the cab of the truck, but he made it through the accident without a scratch.
