16th annual Magnolia Festival

DURANT, OK -- The 16th annual Magnolia Festival is officially underway.

The festival kicked off Wednesday afternoon inside the Choctaw Event Center.

Entrance to the festival is free, but you have to buy an armband to ride the rides in the carnival.

Wednesday night, Kenny Seratt will perform inside due to the potential for severe weather.

"It's really a really good partnership we have with the city of Durant and Choctaw Nation, and it's a way that we can give back to the community," said James Dry, co-chair of the Magnolia Festival.

The festival runs until 10 Wednesday and 10 to 10 Thursday through Saturday.
