Police Investigate Stabbings

5-10-05 - ZION, Ill. (AP) The grandfather of one of two Illinois girls who were stabbed to death says he and the girl's father found the bodies.

The eight- and nine-year-olds went for a bike ride Sunday. Their bodies were found yesterday morning in the woods near their home.

Arthur Hollabaugh says he and his son-in-law were out looking for the girls and came across his granddaughter Laura Hobbs' bike. Hollabaugh says they stopped to call police and that's when the father found the bodies and started screaming.

The coroner says the girls were apparently killed where their bodies were found and neither had been bound or sexually assaulted.

Authorities say they've interviewed several family members of both Hobbs and Krystal Tobias. But the police chief says investigators don't have any solid leads yet.
