5-20-05 - A woman and her 4-year-old son were killed Friday afternoon when their car rolled 2.5 times on I-35. State troopers say Dana Scifres of Choctaw was southbound on I-35 when her 1997 Ford Explorer blew a tire at the 71-mile marker. The Explorer drifted into the center median and flipped.
Scifres and 4-year-old Logen Scifres were both thrown at least 65 feet. Neither of them were wearing seat belts.
A 2nd child in the SUV, 4-year-old Sarah Scifres, was wearing her seat belt and only suffered minor injuries.
