5-21-05- A Sherman baby battling a virus since birth, lost her fight for life today. Alex Madison Booth died around 5:00 p.m Saturday, just six weeks after she was born.
Baby Alex was born with a virus called CMV, which attacked her vital organs. She had a hole in her heart and two leaky valves. Her liver was also weakened by the virus.
Two weeks ago, Alex was put on life support after she took a turn for the worse. Saturday evening, her family removed her from life support.
Texomans gave generously their blood and donations to help baby Alex is her fight for life. The family now needs donations to pay for the little girl's funeral arrangements. Donations can be made at any American Bank of Texas.
