SHERMAN, Tex. -- Some Sherman seniors learned about crime prevention Wednesday morning. Sgt. Bruce Dawsey of the Sherman Police Department spoke to the Golden Ages Senior Citizen Group on Wednesday morning at North Park Baptist Church .
Dawsey spoke about personal safety in your home, at the store, and even mail and internet scams. He said oftentimes thieves target senior citizens but it's important for everyone to remember safety precautions.
"Seniors are a good group. They're well attentive, they're all mature, so everybody listens up, and they ask good questions," Dawsey said.
One of Sgt. Dawsey's tips is if it's too good to be true, it's probably a scam.
