5-31-05 - Reba McEntire drew a near-sellout crowd to the Choctaw Coliseum Monday night, marking her 1st concert in the Texoma area in 4 years. It’s the 14th time her Memorial Day concert has benefited the Texoma Medical Center. This year, funds were earmarked for Reba’s Ranch House.
Prior to tonight, those concerts had raised more than $4 million in profits.
Four-time Grammy Award winner Joe Nichols opened for Reba, to a crowd of more than 6,000 fans.
Reba’s Ranch House is a facility that gives the families of patients a place to stay when a loved one is hospitalized. Many of the guests - 51% - come from Oklahoma. The Ranch House gives them the peace of mind of being near the hospital, while allowing them the chance to get away for some much needed rest.
