Garvin County attorney arrested for DUI

MAYSVILLE, OK - A Garvin County attorney and municipal judge was arrested for driving under the influence.

Daniel Sprouse was pulled over for speeding around 10 p.m. last Tuesday along Highway 19 near Maysville.

Maysville police said Sprouse smelled of alcohol, and blew a 0.10 on a breath test.

The legal limit in both Oklahoma and Texas is 0.08

They said Sprouse was booked into the Garvin County jail and was released on a $1,000 bond.

Records show Sprouse's next court date is set for July 18.

$1000 bond? Is that the normal amount for driving drunk in Oklahoma? If so, the next time I feel the urge to drink and drive, I am heading to Oklahoma! They might do something to deter me form this behavior in Texas!

Come on over. After that bond, we will also get a few thousand for your lawyer, along with another &1500 in fines and court costs. Then you will have the pleasure of blowing into a tube to start your car, then every 5 minutes while you are driving, to keep it running. You will have to drive over here several times for your DUI classes. That's a whole lot of blowing. But, that's only for a year. I'll be the one in the parking lot pointing and laughing while you are trying to blow start your car.

The usual bond is at least $10,000. If this had been Grayson County good ole Joe would have been glad to "sweep" it under the rug for a sizeable campaign contribution and maybe a 4 wheeler or sumthin... lol
