BONHAM, TX-- Medical examiners and the Fannin County Sheriff's Office have identified a skull found in the southern Fannin County as Gary Don Stewart.
Last December, a landowner on County Road 3335, southeast of Bonham, found a skull and bone fragments on his property.
After lab results, the sheriff's office said they have I-D'd him as 43-year-old Gary Don Stewart.
He was last scene by his girlfriend in March 2010, on F-M 68, south of the property where his remains were found. Stewart left on foot after being told that law enforcement had been called to investigate an altercation between him and his girlfriend.
"At this point, with the reports we have received there is no indication of foul play and with the immediate investigation and on going investigation there has been no indication of foul play," said, Chief Deputy, James Woods.
The medical examiner cannot determine a cause of death.
