ARDMORE, OK--An Ardmore baseball player is in the hospital tonight after he was struck in the head by a ball during a game.

Coach Will Trisciani said player Chris Hall was hit in the back of the head during a throw down from behind the plate yesterday afternoon.

Trisciani said after Hall was struck he was responsive and got up but was taken to Mercy Memorial to get checked out. He said Hall was air lifted to an Oklahoma city hospital after tests showed there was a blood clot in the player's brain.

Trisciani tells us Hall underwent brain surgery and is in an induced coma. No word on his current condition.
