06-07-05 – A group of University of Texas students are making their way through Texoma this week. The Texas 4000 is a group of bike riders who are traveling from Austin to Anchorage, Alaska on a 62-day ride.
The group is riding to raise money for cancer. At each stop they talk with survivors and cancer patients about the disease.
Each of the riders in the group has friends or family who has been affected by cancer.
On Tuesday, they pulled into Sherman and spoke at Austin College. Their next stop is Wednesday in Ardmore.
