Celina Football Player Charged

7-5-05 - A Celina football star is facing some serious charges after three teenage girls claim he exposed himself to them outside a restaurant. Alan Jones faces charges of indecent exposure.

On June 16, Celina police say three teenage girls went for a late-night snack at Sonic, but after they placed their order they claim a young man walked up to the car and exposed himself.

Days later, 17-year-old varsity wide receiver Alan Jones was booked into the Collin County Jail on charges of indecent exposure and two counts of indecency with a child.

We spoke with the mother of one of the girls today. She says the girls were parked at the drive-in when a large group of teenage boys, more than a dozen of them, started harassing the girls by yelling and trying to open the car doors.

Celina police say one of the teens, Jones, went too far and exposed himself close up to the car window.

Jones denied those charges, but this mother is demanding action, not only by the Collin County DA, but by the school district as well.

The Collin County DA's office has recommended the two felony charges of indecency with a child be reduced to misdemeanors. So far, no court date has been set.
