Weather Aware conditions continue overnight due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 7 a.m. for the northernmost portions of Texoma including Atoka, Coal, Johnston, Murray and Pontotoc Counties Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Rain ends NW to SE during the day Thursday.
A doublewide mobile home burned in Denison this afternoon. One firefighter ended up in the hospital.
It happened in the 4400 block of Fannin Road around 1:30.
Firefighters sprayed water on the fire until late afternoon.
The flames started in a room on the west end of the house. The owner was not home at the time.
Some firefighters were overheated. One was taken to the hospital but should be ok.
