8-15-05 - Heavy rains and flooding caused Turner Falls Park in Davis to close their gates Monday. The area has seen more than five inches of rain the past two days and many roads and bridges are under water.
Some stranded visitors watched in awe as water rushed through the park. Park managers say they can't re-open until the water levels go down. The area is expected to see more rain over the next two days.
The Chickasaw National Recreation Area reports some flooding in a small number of their remote campsites, but they remain open.
A mudslide was reported on a Santa Fe railroad crossing between Davis and Dougherty. No injuries have been reported.
