7-14-05 - The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office has recovered over $63,000.00 worth of stolen property as a result of a 3-week investigation by Investigator Brian McClaran. Deputies recovered 5 trailers, 2 tractors/Brush Hog, and rolls of barbed wire.
McCLaran said that when he was able to locate one of the trailers, it seemed that each one, led to the recovery of another. He has been working with Law Enforcement Agencies and recovered 1 – 18ft trailer with winch stolen from Durant Oklahoma, 1 easy load 18ft trailer, 1 - 24ft Gooseneck 3 – stolen from Sherman and the rest had either been stolen from Grayson County or the owners had not been located as of yet.
Sheriff Gary said, “Thefts of trailers and equipment are a serious problem here in Grayson County. I am very pleased with the work of Investigator McClaran and his efforts to recover the stolen equipment.
A 36-year old Sherman man is a suspect in the thefts. The investigation is ongoing and the farther he goes with it, the more he is able to locate.
