FANNIN COUNTY, Tex. -- Lake Ralph Hall could soon be on the map in Fannin County. County leaders have reached an agreement with the Upper Trinity Regional Water District to develop the lake, which would extend from Highway 34 north of Ladonia east toward Bonham.

Officials with Upper Trinity say the goal of the project is to provide a reliable and safe water source for the district and for the county.

The first purchases of property for the lake are set to take place this spring.

I have hear anywhere from 1200. per acre to 4800 per acre and when the state did the gas line they did pay 3500.00 for pecan trees if you benefited from the pecans.So this could very well be true! Who knows!

Im curious I was told they are offering 3500 an acre, plus houses, barns, and 3500 per pecan tree .. IS this true ???

It is a complete rip off for those of us who own land that is caught up in the the lake because the county has dropped the land appraisal meaning we will get verry little. My family usual pays about $600 we went to pay this year and it was about $90. They wouldn't admit it is because of the lake but that is the only thing that has changed. We have good land, good water and a nice home. This is rediculous!

Now that we have named a lake after him, will he please retire! I wouldn’t be surprised if he was older than the lake. It is time to get some new blood in office. Sorry Ralph, I can't vote for you anymore. You can't possible have my generation's interests at heart anymore (young professionals). You will not be getting my vote this time. Didn't you once say you knew when to say when? I think it's time to give someone else a chance to make a change (that is not related to you).
