Meth Cooks - Caught in the Act

7-21-05 – A meth lab bust in Grayson County overnight lands two men in jail. The bust took place at a home on Friendship Road - north of Highway 56 late Wednesday night.

Narcotics detectives from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office found 200 grams of methamphetamine and enough chemicals to make up to 400 grams. Officers say they caught two men cooking the meth in the kitchen of the home around 10:00 p.m. Both men were arrested and taken to the Grayson County Jail.

One of the suspects is a 37-year-old from Sherman and the other is a 37-year-old from Hartshorne, Oklahoma. Their names have not been released. Deputies say they expect official charged to be filed late Thursday afternoon.

The men face felony charges for manufacturing and delivery of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

Officers also found dozens of weapons in the home.

This is the third meth-related bust for Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputies in less than a week. Last Friday, a couple in Sherwood Shores was arrested on meth charges and late Sunday night, deputies busted a meth lab in Collinsville. One man was arrested in that bust and his two children, found inside the home, were taken to stay with a relative.
