State of State Speech in Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Governor Brad Henry says a spirit of cooperation is most important in Oklahoma's business environment. The governor delivered his state of the state address to a group of business leaders at a Tulsa hotel today.

He said the state's economy is continuing to grow, because
Oklahomans are willing to work together to create a positive environment for business.

The governor noted the worker's compensation reforms passed
during a special session in June as one example of working together.

Henry also mentioned the important role telecommunications and the growth of call centers has played in the state.

Companies including Dell and Southwest Airlines Direct TV have
added thousands of call-center jobs in Oklahoma in the past three
years.
