BOSWELL, Okla. -- To honor this week's A+ Athlete, we head to Boswell High School for a senior that is excelling on and off the court Christina Melvin reports.

This week’s A+ Athlete is Paige Percer from Boswell High School. This valedictorian had a perfect grade point average throughout high school. She's was honored with "Who's Who Among American High School Students." She's the senior class president and a State Superintendent Academic Scholar. She's a member of the youth advisory board for the Choctaw Nation and also mentors second graders. Needless to say, Percer stays busy.

"I just take each day as it comes and run around a lot," Paige says.

And she's means it. She's a dual-sport athlete. In softball, this third baseman has earned all conference, most stolen bases, most home runs, best fielding average, and MVP. She also helped her team to win districts last year... In basketball this captain guard was defensive player of the year and won the eagle award. Now that it's time to graduate, Paige is already reminiscing about her memories of high school.

"Just make sure you appreciate each game because it's over quick," Paige says.

Even though she will be missed Paige is sure to be a success at the next level. She is already been accepted into the Honors Program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she will double major in biology and chemistry.

Congratulations to Paige Percer on being named this week’s A+ Athlete.

We'll introduce you to another A+ Athlete every Friday here on First News AM. School officials, coaches, teachers, and counselors are encouraged to send in your nominees.

A+ Athletes….
--must be a senior..
--must be nominated through the student’s school district- not a parent.
