Yes, of course, the yield sign should be obeyed. However, if the driver entering the ramp did not signal her intent to do so, the guy that hit her may have assumed she was not going to turn in front of him, and just continue north on the access road. Failing to yield the right of way, and the failure to use turn signals are all too common infractions of our driving regs. Two way access roads are SO tricky these days, especially for those who are not accustomed to traveling on them. They are becoming fewer as rural areas grow, and their existence is easily overlooked by todays drivers. Perhaps a stop sign rather than a yield sign would be better at such a location.

This man will have to live with his mistake for the rest of his life. He has two broken arms, two broken legs, a broken pelvis and may never walk again and if he does it will be a miracle. A simple little mistake of not yielding has caused an awful accident that could have been avoided. Please take the time to watch your surroundings more closely you just never know.

I'm sorry this happened ,and hope all involved ar going to be ok.The worst exit ramp is at the one in Sherman that exits to El Chicos.Rarely does anyone yield.I'm assuming that people can't read these days .I wonder how they ever got their license.

I sincerely hope the lady in this accident is going to be okay. So many people don't think the "YIELD" signs apply to them when they are on the frontage roads. This particular entrance ramp is one area that is a real problem with this. PEOPLE, if you are on the frontage road, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS SUPPOSED TO YIELD THE RIGHT-OF-WAY!!!!

I hate exiting the highway onto an access road with two way traffic. Always a dangerous thing because a lot of people fail to yield just as they fail to stop at red lights.

People, we have got to pay attention to what we are doing. This is the 2nd bad accident this week(I will pray for both drivers).........pay attention when you are driving, put down the cell phones, put down the burgers, quite digging for your favorite cd, who cares what radio station its on......PAY ATTENTION, READ SIGNS!!! So many of these accidents could be prevented if we all just take our time, slow down and think of others.
