TEXOMA - A tornado scare in Cooke and Grayson counties, and a confirmed tornado touching down near Kent, Oklahoma in Choctaw County.

So far, no reports of damage or injuries associated with those strong storms in southeastern Oklahoma, but tornadoes also touched down in parts of north Texas. One of those late Wednesday afternoon, just outside of the city of Breckenridge, in Stephens County.

Damage is reported on the outskirts of town, power was knocked out in the city. At last 3 people were injured in the twister.

Damage was also reported at the airport with several buildings showing visible damage. Baseball-size hail was reported at the University of Texas at Arlington. Windows were busted out of a few vehicles, and some injuries have been reported.

In Marshall County, power lines were down in Kingston over the Roosevelt Bridge, which is on Highway 70. Traffic is backed up and being diverted. Also in Kingston, South Muncrief Road is flooded, so city workers have blocked off the road. There’s also reports of trees down across the county.

There is power outages reported in Durant.

And lots of heavy rain was reported in Gainesville Wednesday night. They had reports of street flooding. Elsewhere in Cooke County, a man’s pick-up was swept off the road into rising water in Era, but he was able to get himself out before emergency management officials arrived. Sadler say pea-sized hail, but no significant damage reported.

Don't know if you are aware, but the roof blew off the gym at Leonard Elementary, and landed in the parking lot of the Jr High!

I tell you it was like a freight train coming thru my house. I got me my flashlite, my ham radio, my 8 cats, a pepsi and some cheese crackers oh yeah and my nerve medicine and got in the bathtub and put the bath mat over our heads. But Im alive today.
